Abernethy Agricultural Society Scholarship

 

· A $500 annual scholarship is sponsored by the Abernethy Agricultural Society.

· Available to Grade 12 graduates of Balcarres and North Valley High Schools.

· Requirements: Admission to any agricultural related University or College course.

· Please include transcript of marks.

· Application must be made to the Abernethy Agricultural Society Secretary by June 1^st, 2011.

SAASE/Clark and Anne Lewis Memorial Scholarship

 

The Abernethy Agricultural Society can nominate one Grade 12 student for the SAASE/Clark and Anne Lewis Memorial Scholarship.

 

· Applicants must:

· Be residents of Saskatchewan.

· Be planning to attend one of three post secondary education institutions in Saskatchewan:

·  University of Saskatchewan; University of Regina; or SIAST.

· Be going into their first year of post-secondary education.

· Complete their first year.

· The application form as well as three letters of support must be received by the Abernethy Agricultural Society Secretary by June 1st, 2011.

 

· Applicants will be scored in the following areas:

· How complete the application form is filled out.

· Future plans of the applicant.

· Extra-curricular involvement at school.

· Community involvement.

· Letters of endorsement and recommendation.

· The successful candidate will be notified before June 15, 2011 and their application forwarded to SAASE for a chance to be awarded one of two $1,500 scholarships.
